We are now accepting applications for the forum "Designing Tokyo as a Wooden City in 2040 from Marunouchi"!

Main event of "TOKYO WOOD TOWN 2040 Mountains, Trees and Tokyo" held on May 7, 2024

GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi will be holding a special exhibition, "TOKYO WOOD TOWN 2040: Mountains, Trees and Tokyo," from Thursday, April 18th to Sunday, May 19th.
The main forum for this special exhibition will be held on Tuesday, May 7th, titled "Designing Tokyo, the Wooden City of 2040, from Marunouchi." The forum will focus on the Tokio Marine Group New Head Office Building (scheduled for completion in fiscal 2028), a 100m-tall urban wooden structure that will be the largest in the world in terms of the amount of wood used. Discussions will be held among business leaders, designers, developers, and researchers on the future relationship between cities and trees, and the role of cities in maintaining a functional cycle between mountains and trees.
The panelist will be Tadashi Yoshihara, General Manager of Structural Engineering Department and Head of the Wood Architecture Lab in the R&D Promotion Department of our company.
If you are interested in the vision of cities from the 2030s onwards, and in designs that create a cycle for both mountain and urban economies, please apply.
