MOVIE [Japan's first] High-rise hybrid wooden building / The Royal Park Canvas, Sapporo Odori Park
Designer from Mitsubishi Jisho Design explains Japan's first "high-rise hybrid wooden building"!
The Royal Park Canvas Sapporo Odori Park, located in Sapporo and opened in October 2021, is Japan's first high-rise hybrid wooden hotel.
The amount of timber used in the structure is the largest in Japan, with 80% of it being made from local materials from Hokkaido, embodying local production for local consumption and aiming to realize a sustainable society.
Our company was in charge of architectural design and construction supervision. In the video, our designers appear and talk about the novelty and appeal of the design. Please take a look!
