MOVIE [Japan's first] High-rise hybrid wooden building / The Royal Park Canvas, Sapporo Odori Park
A designer from Mitsubishi Jisho Design explains Japan's first "high-rise hybrid wooden building"!
The Royal Park Canvas Sapporo Odori Park, located in Sapporo and opened in October 2021, is Japan's first high-rise hybrid wooden hotel.
The amount of timber used in the structural framework is the largest in Japan, with 80% of it being produced in Hokkaido, embodying local production for local consumption and aiming to realize a sustainable society.
Our company was in charge of architectural design and construction supervision. Our designers appear in the video to talk about the novelty and appeal of the design. Be sure to check it out!
