5th Carbon Neutral Grand Prize (2016) Yaskawa Electric Headquarters: 100 Ecos to Reduce Environmental Impact
We are pleased to announce that the Yaskawa Electric headquarters, which we designed, has won the 5th Carbon Neutral Grand Prize from the Japan Association of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
This award recognizes Carbon Neutral Award efforts of members that contribute to the realization of a low-carbon society, with the aim of promoting a low-carbon society. Yaskawa Electric's headquarters building is a core facility of the "100 Ecos" environmental impact reduction initiative, and has implemented initiatives such as task and ambient lighting that utilizes natural light, air conditioning in living areas, and the use of natural ventilation in the intermediate seasons. Based on one year of actual measurement data, the building was recognized for achieving a 76% reduction in primary energy consumption compared to a general office.
