Introduction of our award-winning projects
Tokyo Association of Architects and Building Engineers Chairman's Award "3rd MINAMI AOYAMA"
This tenant office building stands on the border between the commercial district facing Aoyama-dori, Tokyo's leading thoroughfare, and the residential area that spreads out behind it. Because tenant office buildings exist in all parts of the city, they are responsible for creating high-quality roadside scenery and open spaces. This plan creates an iconic exterior with four terraces (rooftop, pocket park, inner terrace, outer terrace) that contribute to new ways of working. In addition, the alleys and pocket parks draw people in from the main street, making the area highly accessible while taking advantage of the dual nature of the area.
The project was recognized as a potential prototype for future office buildings for its departure from the norm of floor and facade configurations for tenant office buildings, creating a refreshing and innovative look for the city, as well as its efforts to create lush public open space by keeping the building area down and dealing with the height restrictions of two areas in an integrated manner.

Tokyo Governor's Award: "MUFG PARK / LIBRARY"
This project was designed to develop a green space that had been protected for over 70 years in the suburbs of Tokyo into a "PARK" to be opened to the public, and to create a library that is one with nature. The library, enclosed under a large, gently curving roof, will be made up of books donated by the local community. The bookshelves covering the entire wall will visualize people's thoughts, and the open PARK will promote the development of a local community through books. In addition, after surveying all the trees in the park, the park paths, library, and various infrastructure were planned to minimize the impact on vegetation, and rainwater was allowed to seep underground, aiming to preserve the rich natural environment.
The project was highly praised for its deep insight into the public sphere, as it is a "PARK" operated by a private company and the architecture located within it that welcomes everyone and provides an attractive space for local residents.
