2025 67th Kanagawa Architecture Concours Appeal Award (Landscape) Category
THE GATE HOTEL YOKOHAMA by HULIC designed by our company, won the Appeal Award (Landscape) at the 67th Kanagawa Architecture Concours (2025), hosted by Kanagawa Prefecture, and the award ceremony was held on November 20th.
The Kanagawa Architecture Competition is an award that recognizes buildings located within Kanagawa Prefecture, aims to improve the prefecture's architectural culture and technology, and promote the creation of attractive cities.
The design was highly praised for its ingenuity in facade and cornice design, which takes advantage of the location, which retains a strong sense of Yokohama's history and culture.

THE GATE HOTEL YOKOHAMA by HULIC
The hotel faces Yamashita Park, arguably the face of Yokohama. Its three-story structure aims to harmonize with the local townscape and neighboring historic buildings.
Based on the concept of "wearing the air of Yamashita, a port town," we are planning three terraces with different atmospheres: a "land terrace" that faces Yamashita Park and connects to the interior of the restaurant; a "sea terrace" facing the 4m-high front bar lounge; and a "sky terrace" with a rooftop garden.
