"Demonstration experiment of urban mobility hub" conducted.
~Creating a new experience of exploring and enjoying the city, starting from MOBI BASE~ May 13th (Wed) - May 24th (Sun), 2026
The Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho District Urban Development Council (hereinafter referred to as the Otemachi-Marunouchi-Yurakucho Council) and Mitsubishi Jisho Design Inc. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Director: Junichi Tanizawa) will conduct a demonstration experiment of an "urban mobility hub" aimed at improving the walkability of the area, as part of their efforts to create a walkable town in the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho (Otemachi-Marunouchi-Yurakucho) area, from May 13 (Wed) to May 24 (Sun), 2026.
During the event, "MOBI BASE," a hub designed to encourage exploration of the Marunouchi Nakadori Street Building. Business card-sized "exploration cards" will be distributed, featuring area exploration maps, recommended spots, and suggested routes. Visitors can choose a card from 24 different themes and discover new ways to enjoy the city.
In addition, signs encouraging visitors to explore the area will be placed throughout the Marunouchi 2-chome area, along with information on various mobility services. Starting from "MOBI BASE," a "city-centered mobility hub" space will emerge that seamlessly connects walking and mobility, serving as a catalyst for people to explore the area.
Through this initiative, the two parties will verify the effect that the space and information dissemination functions of "urban mobility hubs," which enhance the walkability of the city, have on people's movement, and utilize this information to create better cities in the future.

About the information hub "MOBI BASE"
A temporary mobility hub called "MOBI BASE" will open on the first floor entrance of Marunouchi Nakadori Street Building. It will serve as a hub for disseminating information to encourage people to explore the Marunouchi-Otemachi-Yurakucho area.
The installed pedestrian information map boards show the locations of various mobility ports (LUUP, Docomo Bike Share, Marunouchi Shuttle stop, etc.) and recommended spots both inside and outside the Marunouchi area.
At MOBI BASE, we will be distributing a themed walking guide card that introduces recommended spots and routes both inside and outside the Otemachi-Marunouchi-Yurakucho area. This walking guide card will also be available online at the same time. We invite you to experience a side of the Otemachi-Marunouchi-Yurakucho area you never knew existed.
This demonstration experiment will be conducted in collaboration with the organizing bodies (The Council for Area Development and Management of Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho and Mitsubishi Jisho Design Inc.), Luup Inc., Hinomaru Jidosha Kogyo Co., Ltd., Docomo Bike Share Inc., TOKYO ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL Executive Committee, TokyoMarunouchiInnovationPlatform (TMIP), and Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd.
About the The Council for Area Development and Management of Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho (Otemachi-Marunouchi-Yurakucho Council)
It is comprised of landowners in the Marunouchi/Otemachi/Yurakucho area.
By having landowners themselves discuss the future vision of the town and its development methods and rules, and then working with the government to realize these plans, we are working to create a vibrant community and promote sustainable development in this district, which leads Tokyo's business scene.
