We are pleased to announce that our Chief Engineer, Satoko Uda, has received the "Academic Division - Materials and Review Articles Award" at the 37th The Institute of Electrical Installation Engineers of Japan (IEEJ) IEEJ Award, hosted by the Japan Institute of Electrical Installation Engineers.
IEEJ Award aims to promote the advancement of academic and technological achievements related to electrical installations, and recognizes particularly outstanding accomplishments and excellent results in academic, construction, and technological development. This time, the "Academic Division - Materials and Review Article Award" was presented to the special feature article "Initiatives to Promote the Active Participation of Female Engineers in the Building Equipment Industry," published in the May 2024 issue of the Journal of the Japan Society of Electrical Installation Engineers.
This feature article, drawing on Ms. Uda's experience in industry organizations, presents a survey of employees taking childcare leave, identifying challenges in the building equipment industry. By presenting specific questions and answers, it clearly illustrates the current situation, offering valuable insights for talent acquisition, training, and improving the workplace environment. It was highly praised for considering not only female engineers but also the entire industry's future.
