Fukui Bank Head Office

This project involved rebuilding the bank's head office, a beloved symbol of the region since before the war. Based on the bank's history of opening to develop the local textile industry, the building was designed around the concept of "weaving," aiming to create two things: a public building that will remain beloved by the community, and a workspace that will foster lively interaction among bank employees. Public spaces such as a cafe, library, and gallery that can be freely used by local residents are located in a continuous continuum with the bank's business lobby. Locally produced materials such as Echizen roofing tiles, washi paper, and black cedar are scattered throughout the building, and it will also serve as a hub for promoting the charms of the region. Our Construction Management department was also involved in the design of the workplace based on workshops with bank employees, and we are supporting how people work in the new building.
