Gotemba Premium Outlets 4th Phase Civil Engineering Design and Construction Supervision
Gotemba Premium Outlets is located in an urbanization control area, and has problems such as traffic congestion on surrounding roads, making it difficult to expand. However, from the development concept stage, we promoted consensus building with the relevant parties through discussions with the relevant government agencies regarding master plan considerations and deregulation, and after dealing with land issues and applying for legal permits, the fourth phase of construction began in 2016. While resolving the difficult issue of balancing the operation of the existing outlet with this construction, we created the largest outlet in Japan by developing the site with a total cut and fill volume of 300,000 m3 and a new retaining wall with a maximum height of 10 m above ground and a total length of over 3 km, renovating the outer road to ease the slope of the road over 1 km and increase its width, and building a new overhead passage to increase access to the existing area.
