Keio University Faculty of Science and Technology Campus slope safety measures construction
In recent years, disasters and accidents on steep slopes have been attracting attention, and safety measures were implemented in stages on the natural slopes around the Yagami Campus over a four-year period from 2015 to 2018. Large-diameter camphor and cherry trees that define the local landscape were left at the top of the slopes, and trees in the middle of the slopes were also preserved to the extent possible, in an effort to achieve both scenery and safety.
