Yurakucho District Tunnel Development Project (Tentative name) Nakadori Tunnel Construction

Previously, the Yurakucho area had district heating and cooling system that connected buildings, but to further improve environmental performance, business continuity in the event of a disaster, and to ensure a continuous supply of power when buildings are rebuilt in the future, a new tunnel was constructed underground under Marunouchi Nakadori Street.
In order to pass under the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, a steep shield tunnel with a maximum depth of approximately 33m and a maximum gradient of approximately 20% is planned. The construction of this tunnel will form a new district heating and cooling network, contributing to improving the local environment and disaster prevention capabilities.
