Construction of moat water storage and purification facility for the new Otemon Tower / ENEOS Building construction project

Construction of moat water storage and purification facility for the new Otemon Tower / ENEOS Building construction project
The moat in the outer gardens of the Imperial Palace, adjacent to the said site, is a resting space visited by many tourists, but the water quality has been deteriorating due to chronic water shortages, and the mass outbreak of blue-green algae has caused odors and problems with the scenery. A public-private partnership working group was held to tackle water purification, and based on the results of that work, a moat water purification and storage facility was constructed in the basement of the said new building adjacent to the Ote moat.
This facility is linked to the Ministry of the Environment's purification facility, storing water during periods of high water and returning it to the Ote moat during periods of low water, thereby contributing to the reconstruction of a healthy environment.
