TOKYO TORCH Tokiwabashi Tower

TOKYO TORCH is a redevelopment project in the Tokiwabashi area in front of Tokyo Station that will progress in stages over a period of more than 10 years. The first building to be completed here is Tokiwabashi Tower, a 40-story, 212-meter-tall complex of offices and retail spaces with a total floor space of approximately 146,000 square meters.
In the past, Tokiwabashi-gomon, the main entrance to Edo Castle, was built here, and the area was home to many samurai residences. The facade design expresses the desire to continue to lead Tokyo's growth for the next 100 years, and expresses a sword that paves the way to the future, as well as layers of layers that evoke the depth of history and tradition. Japanese elements such as lanterns and box seats are also incorporated into the lower floors.

Underground connection work(2022)

In 2022, an underground passageway (pedestrian network), also designed by our company, will be completed.
This project will connect the tower to Otemachi subway station and the Tekko Building, and will also enable access between Tokyo Station and the tower by passing underground under Eitai-dori, improving transport convenience and easing pedestrian congestion above ground. In the future, the project plans to further strengthen ties in the area around Tokyo Station by developing an underground pedestrian network that utilizes private land in the Tokiwabashi block and building an underground nodal space that will serve as a gate to the town.

Introduction of Digital Technology for Supporting Office Worker

Within the tower, digital technology utilizing smartphones has been introduced to support the act of "working."
By installing the employee-only app using the BLE communication function that comes standard with smartphones, smartphones can be used as security authentication terminals. In addition to security authentication, this employee-only app also has functions such as seat reservation, ordering, and payment for "MY Shokudo" on the 3rd floor, and reservation and payment for the conference room on the 8th floor, contributing to improving the convenience of the facility.
