KITTE HAKATA

This commercial facility stands on the site of the former Hakata Post Office, adjacent to JR Hakata Station. facade features a glass curtain wall and louvered panels with a checkered pattern reminiscent of Hakata weaving, and its appearance changes with the passage of time, the viewing angle, and the lighting, bringing a lively atmosphere to the area in front of the station. In addition, the pedestrian circulation on the first and second floors is made open and expressive by the cantilevered structure and curved louvered ceiling, creating a new flow that leads people from the station to the surrounding area.
