KITTE Hakata
KITTE HAKATA

This commercial facility stands on the site of the former Hakata Post Office adjacent to JR Hakata Station. facade is made of glass curtain walls and louver panels with a checkered pattern reminiscent of Hakata-ori textiles, and the appearance changes depending on the time of day, the viewing angle, and the lighting, bringing a lively atmosphere to the area in front of the station. In addition, the pedestrian circulation on the first and second floors is made open and expressive by the cantilever structure and curved louvered ceiling, creating a new flow that leads people from the station to the surrounding area.
