Hokkoku Bank Head Office Building
Plans for relocation and new construction of Hokuriku Bank's head office.
The aim is to inherit Kanazawa's history and culture, to create a "town hall" that is open to the street and familiar to the local community. Taking into consideration the site environment, natural lighting and ventilation as well as existing well water are actively used to reduce heat load. facade, covered with white lattice and brown terracotta, eases the sense of oppression in the surrounding area, and while blocking out sunlight, it also lets in ample natural light inside. The bank head office is committed to using local materials, with interior design using locally produced cedar, Wajima lacquer benches, and signs using Futamata washi paper, making it a bank head office where local materials can be felt close to the building.
