Hokkoku Bank Head Office Building
Plans for relocation and new construction of Hokkoku Bank's head office.
We aim to inherit Kanazawa's history and climate, and to create a "town hall" that is open to the street and beloved by the local community. Taking into consideration the site environment, we actively utilized natural lighting and ventilation, as well as existing well water, to reduce thermal load. facade, clad in white lattice and brown terracotta, softens the sense of oppression felt by the surrounding area, blocking out sunlight while still allowing ample natural light into the interior. We also place emphasis on local production and consumption, with interiors made from locally sourced cedar, Wajima lacquer benches, and signs made from Futamata washi paper, making this a bank headquarters where local materials can be felt close to you.
