Reconstruction plan for the former Tokio Marine & Nichido Yodoyabashi Building.
We aimed to create a workplace that gives a special feeling to everyday business scenes by inserting an office building that exudes playfulness, friendliness, and innovation into the streets of Yodoyabashi, a representative business area of Osaka.
The surrounding river and the dynamic "flow" of cars are woven into the building as design motifs using pleats and drapes, and the vertical frames of the precast concrete exterior walls are overlapped and arranged in a staggered pattern to create a light, pleated shadow on facade.
