Shisui Premium Outlets Civil Engineering Design and Construction Supervision

This is the ninth premium outlet mall in Japan operated by Mitsubishi Estate Estate Simon. It is the first phase of development of a facility conveniently located near the Shisui Interchange on the Higashi-Kanto Expressway, which opened in April 2013, a 10-minute drive from Narita International Airport, and a 50-minute drive from central Tokyo.
As the site is located within the Shisui Southern District Land Readjustment Project currently being implemented by the Urban Renaissance Agency, the development not only required site development and infrastructure development, but also required coordination with public infrastructure construction work in the surrounding area.
To improve bus services and transportation convenience between Narita International Airport, the train station, and major areas, and to mitigate the impact on surrounding traffic, the roads leading to the site were redesigned into a roundabout shape, and by receiving certification as town roads, a signalized intersection was created at the main entrance and exit of the facility.
