Palace Hotel Tokyo, Palace Building
Palace Hotel Tokyo, Palace Building

This is a reconstruction plan for the Palace Hotel, which opened in 1961 and is beloved by many people as a modern hotel.
By placing the hotel tower on the south side and the office tower on the north side, we have ensured that all guest rooms, banquet halls, and offices have views of lush greenery. The hotel tower has a curved design that wraps around the upper floors in a relaxed manner, with terraces and a rooftop garden located on the lower floors. The office tower, which is constructed with a deeply carved facade that gives a sense of solidity with an emphasis on environmental friendliness, is combined with a glass curtain wall to achieve harmony with the hotel tower.

Underground passage
In addition, an underground passageway with a total length of approximately 100m is planned to connect the facility to Otemachi Station, which has multiple Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines. This will contribute to improving convenience for employees and visitors. A subway entrance and exit will be located right next to the Imperial Palace, improving convenience for tourists and general users, and contributing to Tokyo's tourism policy.
The spacious corridors and stone walls with wooden design gates create a stately interior design reminiscent of a "palace hotel," and the facility is barrier-free with elevators and escalators.

Landscape Design
Landscape Design planning, which was carried out in conjunction with the architecture, was carried out with a focus on Japanese methods, materials, and techniques, while creating a variety of scenes that take advantage of the location facing Uchibori-dori Street and the Wadakura Moat, creating a "landscape of hospitality."
The porte-cochere, with its seasonal and symbolic landscape of Japanese maples, features trapezoidal pavement that is linked to the ceiling lights, creating a high-quality space that demonstrates the dignity of the hotel. In front of the lobby, a garden that stands out as a "picture" framed by the architecture is created by combining Tamukeyama maples and Aji stone with the Wadakura Moat in the background. On the fifth floor, a rooftop garden is designed that draws in the greenery of the city center below as a borrowed landscape.
