Marunouchi Eiraku Building
An office building developed as an integrated project on the site of three existing buildings.
On the lower floors, a large eaves was placed along the 31m line set by the Marunouchi guidelines. The bank, stores and office entrances were located below it. As the planned site is located at the junction of Marunouchi and Otemachi, the exterior design of the upper floors was designed with a "gate" in mind.
Utilizing the energy-saving methods and technological know-how proven in the preceding Marunouchi project, the building proactively adopts new technologies to achieve the highest level of environmental performance.

Landscape
In planning Landscape, we developed a design that would add even more appeal to the site, which already had great potential.
Along Marunouchi Nakadori Street, the hub of activity, two rows of tall deciduous and evergreen trees have been lined. While maintaining the continuity of the streetscape, the space changes with the seasons, with the fresh greenery of spring, the shade of summer, the yellow leaves of autumn, and the sunshine of winter, aiming to be a space that visitors can enjoy at any time. In addition, the "Eiraku Path," a corridor with green walls, has been renovated, adding a staying function to the passage-use traffic line. In doing so, the greenery was designed to eliminate the feeling of being confined by the high-rise buildings, creating a space where stillness and movement intersect peacefully.
Active greening has also been implemented on the building, with wall greenery installed mainly at the corner of Nakadori and Eiraku Koji. The tall deciduous trees on the second floor terrace and the bamboo screen on the third floor give a sense of lush greenery to pedestrians walking along Nakadori.
Underground connecting passage
In conjunction with the building reconstruction project in the Marunouchi district, we constructed an underground passageway connecting the new B1 entrance and exit of Otemachi Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line and the Marunouchi Eiraku Building, improving convenience for employees and visitors to the building and general subway users, and expanding the underground pedestrian network in the Otemachi-Yu district.
By connecting to the sunken garden and relaxing restrictions on subway opening width, we were able to achieve ample passageway width and ceiling height, creating a comfortable, open underground space.
Additionally, a sense of spatial unity was created by unifying the interior design of the underground passageway and the building and coordinating it with the station renovation plans.
