(Tentative name) Okazaki Harizaki Project (Harusaki no Oka) Environmental impact assessment work
The project involves developing the site of the former Nisshinbo Harisaki Factory in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, into land for single-family homes, public facilities, and medical facilities, with a scale of approximately 15.6 hectares.
Environmental assessments were conducted regarding air pollution, water pollution, noise, vibration, animals, and plants. As conservation measures to reduce the impact of construction on the surrounding area, we implemented water sprinkling and installed grit ponds to deal with falling dust and turbid water. We also took into consideration the surrounding living environment by using low-pollution construction machinery to deal with vibration and noise. Other conservation measures include transplanting important species of plants and animals that have been confirmed to live within the project area to suitable locations.
