Marunouchi 1-chome Block 4 Construction Project (Shin-Marunouchi Building) Environmental impact assessment
This project involves the assessment of Maru Building, which was the first assessment to be carried out in the Marunouchi area, and Shin-Maru Building, which is located across Gyoko-dori Street, and like Maru Building, this is a reconstruction project that is attracting a lot of attention.
Because the maximum height is approximately 198m, it was subject to assessment even after the Tokyo Metropolitan Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance was revised in July 2002, and predictions and evaluations were carried out for air pollution, noise and vibration, shadows, radio interference, wind environment, and scenery.
In assessing this project, we took into consideration the scope of impact from the previously completed Maru Building, and the implementation of radio interference countermeasures, as well as the implementation of follow-up surveys that took into account the impact of construction work on the Tokyo Station underground plaza, which was being carried out at the same time.
