Mitsubishi Electric Inazawa Works SOLAÉ

SOLAÉ, Mitsubishi Electric Inazawa Works

As the demand for elevators increases with the rise of taller buildings around the world, the new test tower at Mitsubishi Electric Inazawa Works is the world's tallest elevator test tower *, where a variety of tests can be performed. In addition to ensuring earthquake and wind resistance, the tower provides a stable test environment with oil dampers and vibration control devices, self-cleaning with photocatalytic tiles on the exterior walls, and void ventilation based on natural drafts.
This test tower was named "SOLAÉ" to reflect its shape reaching into the sky and our desire for limitless quality.
* As of October 2007
