"Mid-story seismic isolation retrofit" allows for seismic retrofitting while the building is still in use. By adopting a construction method that uses the basement as the seismic isolation layer, the scope of construction work was concentrated on the seismic isolation floors, ensuring the building's functionality as a government building and making it possible to carry out seismic retrofitting work while the building is still in use.
