This is a plan to redevelop the base of Tsukiji Honganji Temple's urban missionary work. The site of the old branch temple and the adjacent public toilets were developed as one, aiming to create a new urban temple. While expanding pedestrian space by widening sidewalks, the temple will be equipped with a temple and temple cafe that will serve as a community hub in peacetime, public toilets and a storage warehouse that will contribute to disaster prevention in times of emergency, and a nursing home that will contribute to the improvement of elderly welfare facilities in the area. The exterior will follow the "Japanese" image that has been familiar for many years, and the roof tiles and wood from the old branch temple will be used for facade and exterior, in an effort to pass on the memories of the townscape.
