"Gotemba Roadside Rest Area" - A Local Tourism Hub and Activity Park

Gotemba City in Shizuoka Prefecture is the gateway to Izu, Hakone and the Fuji Five Lakes.
Fuji Industrial Park (Tentative name), a roadside convenience facility (a facility with roadside station-like functions) that will serve as a base for "Gotemba-style economic and tourism revitalization."

This project aims to revitalize the local economy of Gotemba and expand the number of people associated with the area by transforming it from a transit tourist destination (a tourist destination that serves as a stopover point for travel) to a destination tourist destination (a tourist destination that serves as a destination). In this project, we formulated a basic philosophy and design concept based on the theme of "Mount Fuji's water," a local resource.
Based on this, we are proposing the development of various functions for the facility and zoning that makes the most of the views of Mt. Fuji. We are also creating perspective drawings to share the image among stakeholders in order to promote future business considerations.

In these efforts, we have cooperated with various companies and organizations operating in the area, such as Gotemba Premium Outlets, to conduct a wide-ranging survey of the diverse needs that lie dormant in the area, and the possibility of companies and organizations both inside and outside the city participating in this project. By incorporating the results into proposals for facility functions, we are strengthening our conceptual capabilities and supporting the administration in realizing the project.
