The Royal Park Hotel Ginza 6-chome (Hulic Ginza 6-chome Showadori Building)

THE ROYAL PARK HOTEL GINZA 6 CHOME (Hulic Ginza 6-chome Showa-dori Building)

A new hotel construction project with 273 rooms located along a main road.
Accommodation-focused hotels * are characterized by a uniform appearance and require a high degree of uniformity in guest room design in order to standardize and streamline sales, service, and operations. However, with the start of this project amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we took the opportunity to "question" conventional wisdom and attempted to propose new value for a new era, not only focusing on operational efficiency but also taking an approach from the perspective of guests.
In order to maximize the opening area to attenuate road noise over a long distance, the window opening area is made larger on higher floors, giving variation to the space of each guest room and also expressing this on the exterior. By diversifying the accommodation experience and responding to the local context, we have made a bold move in the concept of building types and created a new urban landscape.

*A hotel that specializes in accommodation functions and does not have additional facilities such as restaurants or banquet halls.

The second floor lobby. The outdoor green terrace and the two-sided glass windows that allow the ginkgo trees along the sidewalk to be seen as a backdrop create a welcoming space for guests.
Upper floor guest rooms. The upper floors have large windows offering a view of the sky, creating an open and bright interior space.

The focus is on windows, which play an important role in solving external noise issues and creating a comfortable cabin space.
To equalize the quietness (NC value), the window opening area is small on the lower floors and larger on the upper floors.
