Implementation Process & Management

01 Process management based on extensive experience

Today's projects to preserve historic buildings are increasingly targeting private buildings and postwar modern and contemporary architecture, and are increasingly located in urban areas, larger in scale, with diversifying values and more complex issues. In such cases, a detailed and accurate review process is required to arrive at the optimal solution.
Mitsubishi Jisho Design is able to provide consistent project management for a variety of historical buildings, from research to completion, including addressing preservation issues.

02 Collaboration with experts

When repairing buildings designated as important cultural properties or registered cultural properties, the cultural administration requires the participation and supervision of a chief engineer for cultural property repair in the restoration design. Furthermore, knowledge of construction methods is required during the investigation, particularly when determining the historical value of modern and contemporary architecture. We have established a system for collaboration with external experts in these specialized fields.

In addition, with the aim of combining academic analysis with practical design methods, designers who specialize in the renovation of modern architecture are participating in the university's program, assisting in the creation and operation of the course curriculum and in providing guidance to students.
