01 Archives of Historical Documents

In order to clarify the value of a historical building, supporting historical documents (drawings, specifications, photographs) are required, but in many cases these documents are not available.
Mitsubishi Jisho Design has kept almost all of the drawings from the 130+ years since its founding, creating an archive that serves as a reference for the structures, materials, and construction methods of each era.

02 Connecting history to the future: The digital approach of Architectural Heritage Design Office

Architectural Heritage Design Office uses HBIM (Heritage Building Information Modeling), which utilizes the latest digital technologies such as 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry, to precisely record and analyze the appearance, structure, and historical background of buildings, thereby pursuing the creation of new value and the possibility of inheriting them.

We are also working on creating 3D restored models based on historical documents such as old drawings and photographs, and deploying them in the Metaverse. By publishing them in virtual space and using them as experiential content, we are exploring new ways to convey the appeal and value of historical buildings to more people.
