Wooden Design
Wood, a building material, is currently attracting attention not only for its spatiality and comfort, but also for its environmental friendliness, such as its ability to preserve forests through appropriate use and reduce embodied carbon * through carbon fixation.
In this environment, Mitsubishi Jisho Design, which has developed and implemented a wide range of techniques for wooden construction and wood-based construction over many years, offers a diverse range of implementation options that meet the client's policies and budgets.
Mitsubishi Estate Group aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 and is promoting wooden construction and wood-based urban and architectural projects with the aim of turning cities into "second forests." As a "circulatory system in which cities and forests coexist," the entire group is building a timber utilization network that connects timber procurement, planning, design, construction, and post-completion management. As an Architectural Design firm, we are working together with clients and stakeholders to realize a sustainable society.
*Embodied carbon: The sum of all greenhouse gas emissions associated with the construction, maintenance, and end of a building's lifespan.
