Year Book 2016Special Feature既存建物の老朽化に伴う、約800人の入居を想定した本社機能を持つオフィスビルの建て替えプロジェクトです。敷地は渋谷駅北側、中小事務所ビルや店舗、住宅などが混在するエリアに位置し、美竹通りという坂道沿いにあります。用途は事務所のほか、多目的ホール、店舗。食品会社の本社屋として、テストキッチンやキッチン会議室の設置が一般的な事務所ビルとは大きく異なる要素です。Ｔ字型をした高低差のある敷地に、建築・構造・設備の機能が一体化した地下１階柱頭免震の建物を計画し、理想的な執務空間の実現を目指しました。デザインコードはLIGHT—光、BORDER—取り込む／切り取る、ＷHITE—白／潔さ。外光〈LIGHT〉を多く取り込むために、透明感のあるダブルスキンファサードを実現し、低層部には真っ白なPC で大庇を形成。骨材に白大理石を使用する等、清潔さをイメージさせる〈WHITE〉を追求しました。このエッジのある大庇は〈BORDER〉の役割も果たし、外部空間を切り取りながらから内部へ貫通して、内外連続した空間を生み出します。このスクエアなファサードにPCの大庇によるダイナミックさ、曲面パネルによる柔らかさを加えた外観は、食品会社としての清潔感や風格とともに、日本を代表する企業としてのアイデンティティを表現し、渋谷の活性化につながることを目指しました。This project is a corporate head office building to house about 800 employees, to replace an aging existing building. The site is on Mitake-dori, a sloping street north of Shibuya Station in Tokyo, in an area with a mixture of small and medium-sized oce buildings, retail, and residences. In addition to oce space, the project includes a multi-purpose hall and retail space. As the head office of a food company, the building has elements that are rarely found in oce buildings, such as test kitchens and kitchen-equipped conference rooms.On the sloping T-shaped site, we aimed at the realization of ideal working space in a building where architecture, structure, and services are totally integrated. Earthquake resistance is provided by column-head base isolation in the basement. The design codes were LIGHT (natural illumination), BORDER (bring in, delimit), and WHITE (purity). To enable generous natural illumination, the building has a transparent double-skin facade, while the lower-section podium has large, pure white eaves of precast concrete. The theme of purity (WHITE) is reected in the use of white marble aggregate, and the large eaves with their edges function as a BORDER, delimiting the exterior space while leading toward the interior to create continuity between interior and exterior.The square grid of the facade and the dynamism of the large concrete eaves, modulated by the softness of curved panels on each oor, create an exterior that conveys an impression of purity and stature, expressing the identity of one of Japan’s leading corporations and bringing renewed vitality to the Shibuya district.CONCEPT006
