Year Book 2018Special Feature地域のランドマークであった既存建物のデザイン継承がポイントになったプロジェクトです。３本のはしご状窓、大庇、ロゴサインなどの既存建物のシンボル性を継承したデザインとしました。そして、南北面にのみ開口部を設けることで周辺住宅への騒音に配慮し、多摩川の魅力的な眺望や採光を効果的に取り込みました。また、各階をつなぐ「ねじ階段」を中央部に設置することで、積層型工場内の対話を促し、１階には新たに展示・体験スペースを設けることで地域に開かれ、技術が伝承されていく工場を実現しました。An important objective in this project was to inherit design features from the existing building, a regional landmark. The facade with its three ladder-like arrays of windows, great eave, and logo sign recall the appearance and symbolic signicance of the original design. Light and attractive views of the Tama River are admitted by openings on the north and south sides only, which reduces noise for the surrounding residential areas. Factory floors have a stacked configuration, with communication encouraged by a central “screw staircase” that connects every oor.
