A motif of “paper lantern” is used to connect gently with the bustle of the city center. Depending on the time of day or the month, the “lantern” is illuminated in twelve different colors unique to Japan, constantly changing its appearance. The shadowless bands of light are realized thanks to the concave-shaped spandrel walls above and below the windows. The horizontality of the design ensures high sound insulation performance. while eliminating vertical mullions from the window.
