Mitsubishi Jisho Design Asia is honoured and proud to announce that we have been shortlisted to work with Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore, alongside our partner firms, on the 2nd Stage of the Request for Proposal for Master Plan Consultancy for North-South Corridor's Surface Streets.
LTA envisions North-South Corridor (NSC) as a "multi-modal transportation corridor that will enhance connectivity from the northern region to the city, serving towns such as Sembawang, Yishun, Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Novena and Rochor". With the completion of the NSC tunnel and viaduct, LTA proposes for the surface streets along the corridor to be "repurposed to give more priority to walking, cycling, public transport, and community spaces".
As we work closely with LTA and our partners, we envision a cohesive, inclusive, and identifiable network that unifies us as urban dwellers and our surroundings. Later this year, we will be submitting our concept design for stage 2. Do keep a close lookout for our proposal!
