Project Description

The design is based on the concept of "Connection" that is deeply rooted in the philosophy of the future tenant of this logistics facility, which aims to contribute to society and environment, and providing an authentic life for its customers from generation to generation. A new building typology for logistics that is proven to be efficient and well - received in Japan is introduced in the Singapore scene. The facility is designed to optimise logistics workflow, adaptable spatial configuration and flexible multi-tenancy through the use of modular systems. The ideology of a sustainable practice evidenced by its daily operations, is reflected on its facade of green, as a company that prioritises health and wellness not only for its customers but also for its workers. At a larger scale, the facility becomes a symbol for the district, as a leader in efficient and eco-friendly logistics, as a catalyst to spur development in this sustainability-oriented age. The scope of MJDA was to conduct a feasibility study for the client regarding the conditions of the site, following local regulations, user requirements and the project brief.
